CapTherm Adds Wayne Karo to its Advisory Board

CapTherm is pleased to announce the addition of Wayne Karo to its board of advisors. Wayne Karo is the former CEO of Pipeline Micro, a company that developed a pumped two-phase cooling system for small form-factor electronics. His high tech business experience includes employment at Teradyne, Analog Devices, and Anritsu. Mr. Karo has a MSEE from Stanford University and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management. Karo is also a Pacific Century Fellow, class of 2007, and Pacific Business News 2009 Class of Forty under 40. Pipeline Micro was the Hawaii Venture Capital Association’s 2008 Deal of the Year.

CapTherm Acquires 3D Printer and CNC Machine for Rapid Prototyping

CapTherm is pleased to announce the acquisition of state of the art rapid prototyping/ rapid development equipment. Bringing these capabilities in-house will significantly reduce project lead times and consecutively overhead as wait times for external suppliers are eliminated/ significantly reduced. CapTherm plans to use the 3D printing equipment for form, fit and function testing prior to CNC machining its prototype components. The equipment will also be used to support custom condenser and evaporator development with outside suppliers which will in turn significantly reduce project cost by being able to produce components and sub-assemblies cost effective in-house.
