CapTherm Prototype Cools 200W Citizen LED

CapTherm is pleased to announce another milestone in product integration demonstrating the vast market opportunities of its multiphase cooling solution. Citizen LED has provided several 200W high-power LEDs for prototyping to facilitate integration and develop a solution to significantly reduce the size and weight of the current heat sinks. The company is excited to showcase the transferability of its technology to other markets. While initial concepts were geared towards the IT semiconductor market the LED prototype (an LED is basically a semiconductor) offers tremendous advantages with regards to junction temperature and size and weight reduction of the heat sink. While the current state of the art 200W LED heat sink would require around 20-25KG of aluminum to passively dissipate the heat the Captherm solution can work with less than 1KG of aluminum..
